Today marks the start of another journey. This one is shorter but so adventurous and a little bit more scary than the last one. Today starts my journey to Thailand. I am going to be working alongside a veterinarian, and other pre-vet students from around the country, taking care of homeless dogs, elephants at a nature park, and even baby tigers! I know no one else that is going, well, not really. Some of us have chatted in facebook ok and one of the girls goes to UD, but I don't really know her. So even though with great staff and great girls it is kind of like going alone in a sense. I am going to be in a foreign country where I don't know the language or truly know the culture, with no one to lean on, but I know I can do it. The journey started off a little rocky when my to JFK this evening got cancelled. JetBlue put me on a flight out in the morning but since we leave for Thailand from JFK tomorrow morning at 10am I needed to be here tonight. So, I got a ticket for a Delta flight but then JetBlue was able to put me on a different flight out tonight, so we did that and cancelled the Delta flight. But that flight then kept getting delayed so Mom and Dad decided driving to New York was a better option. So we hoped in the car and drove to my hotel, which is where I am right now while they are on their way back home. While this day was stressful and frustrating I know it will be worth it in the end. I will have a post for each day (most likely) but I may not have internet everyday so I will journal them and post them when I can. This is going to be an absolutely amazing experience and the adventure of a lifetime (the second so far in my short twenty years. I am so very blessed and I cannot thank my parents enough for my amazing life.) and I am SO EXCITED! Look out Thailand, here I come!!
